Tis the Season to be Soupy

Tortilla Soup is a MUST for this cold fall weather...


What you will need:
16 oz pckg ground turkey meat
1 32 oz box of chicken broth
1/2 jar spicy salsa
3 tsp hot sauce
1 14.5 oz can of diced tomatos
1 can rotel with habaneros
2 14 oz can black beans
1 onion diced
1 tbs chili pwdr
2 tsp cumin
1-2 tbs minced garlic
1 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
1 c milk
1 1/2 c water with 2 tsp corn starch




Cook the ground turkey and onions and garlic. Once cooked, throw the meat plus all the said ingredients into the crock pot.

Lastly, to make this soup the perfect consistency, add the 1-1/2 c. of water & 2 tsp corn starch, thoroughly mixed, to the contents in the crock pot. Cook on low heat for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.


For the garnish:
avocados
tortilla chips
sour cream
mexican cheddar cheese

Never can you have enough garnishing...Never!! 


Be prepared for your nose to run.
